" So let's not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don't give up." Galatians 6: 9 NLT
This scriptures assures us of a harvest of blessing following the planting of our good deeds. Paul used the word harvest probably because he understood the principle of planting and reaping. Essentially, there is a time to plant and there is a time to reap (Eccl 3:1). Interestingly, there is no planter that can determine the outcome of the crops but we make predictions based on our evidence-based expectations. Our expectations motivates us to take certain actions that will lead to fruitfulness. Following the seed planting, we continue to water and care for the plants until the harvest season comes. With this understanding, Paul noted one important issue- the discouragement of waiting. There is a high likelihood for discouragement because it takes time for harvest to come. Paul admonished us never to get discouraged or give up, because the harvest will surely come. Why was he so sure? The vineyard where we are planting belongs to God who have control over everything. Since we are doing good and our God is good, the equation shows that the good God will give all good and perfect gift to us.
We must not give up! The channels of blessings are those platform of our sowing . Time spent in God's work, praying, preaching, sharing information about our church, visiting, caring for the needy and other good works we do in God's vineyard are not in vain. God will use this channels of blessings to shower His blessings on us.
Therefore, in this new month, expect outstanding blessings from the most High God.
